Where can I find ethanol-free gas in Los Angeles?

Ethanol-free gasoline is important for many vehicles, especially classic cars and certain motorcycles that can be sensitive to ethanol blends. I’ve been searching for reliable sources of ethanol-free gas in the Los Angeles area but haven’t had much luck finding updated information.

Here are a few things I’d love to discuss:

Locations

If anyone has specific gas stations they trust for ethanol-free fuel in LA, please share!

  • What areas are best for finding these stations?
  • Have you had a good or bad experience with any particular station?

Performance and Pricing

I’m also curious about the performance differences when using ethanol-free fuel versus the blended types.

  • Is it worth the extra cost?
  • How does it affect your vehicle’s performance and fuel efficiency?

Other Recommendations

Besides filling up gas, are there any other tips for maintaining a vehicle that runs on ethanol-free gas?

  • What maintenance routines do you follow to ensure optimal performance?
  • Are there any fuel additives that you recommend?

Let’s gather our knowledge and experiences to help each other find and make the most of ethanol-free gas in LA!

You can find ethanol-free gas at the Mobil on Sunset Blvd and Vine! I’ve been filling up there for a few months, and it’s great for my car’s performance.

Thanks for sharing! I’ll check out the Mobil. Has anyone tried the Chevron on Sepulveda?

The Chevron on Sepulveda does offer ethanol-free gas; however, I had a bad experience there once - the pumps were super slow. Still, it’s an option!

That’s rough, Victoria! I usually go to the Arco on La Brea. It’s usually quick and they have ethanol-free too.

Has anyone tried the new station on Pico? I’ve heard mixed reviews about their ethanol-free gas. I’m curious about the quality.

I haven’t been to the one on Pico yet, but I heard their prices are lower! Anyone know if it’s consistently good fuel?

Cheaper is always better! But I wonder if it affects the engine… I mean, does anyone actually know?

I’ve read that some cheaper gas can be just as good, but I stick to places I trust like the Mobil. No risks for me!

It’s great to hear everyone’s recommendations! I mostly fill up at the Costco stations; they offer ethanol-free options too, and the prices are unbeatable! Anyone else use Costco?

I do go to Costco! Their gas is great value for money. Plus, who doesn’t love saving at the pump and on groceries?

I’ve been using ethanol-free gas in my classic car for years. It really helps with engine performance and keeps my carburetor clean.

That’s great to hear! I’ve heard ethanol-free gas can improve fuel efficiency as well. Can anyone confirm this?

Absolutely! Ethanol-free gas usually provides better fuel economy, especially for older vehicles that aren’t designed for it. You should definitely look for it!

Is it really true that it helps with fuel efficiency? I always thought it was a minor difference.

That’s interesting. I use a newer model SUV; is there any point in using ethanol-free in that case?

For newer models, the benefits aren’t as pronounced, but it can still promote better engine health. It’s worth experimenting.

I wonder why ethanol is even mixed in fuel if ethanol-free has so many benefits… Seems like a scam.

Ethanol is added for its octane boost and to reduce greenhouse gases, but you’re right, many prefer the benefits of ethanol-free!

It’s an interesting point! Maybe we should all just run on unicorn juice instead!
