Has anyone tried Kirkland Signature Motor Oil?

I’ve been hearing a lot about Kirkland Signature Motor Oil lately, and I’m curious if anyone here has experience with it.

Performance

How does it compare to other brands? Is it as good as the big names like Mobil or Castrol?

Quality

I’ve read that it’s a relatively affordable option, but does that compromise quality? What do you think about its viscosity and overall effectiveness?

Certifications

Are there any important certifications or approvals that we should be aware of?

User Experiences

If you’ve used it, how has it performed in your vehicle? Any noticeable differences in engine noise or fuel efficiency?

I’m looking to switch my motor oil soon and want to make sure I’m making the right choice. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences! Thanks!

I’ve been using Kirkland Signature Motor Oil for about a year now in my Honda Accord, and I really notice a difference in engine smoothness. No issues with wear at all!

That’s great to hear! I’ve heard it’s good for maintaining fuel efficiency as well. Any thoughts on that aspect?

I’ve tried it in my Toyota Camry and found that the engine feels cleaner. Fuel efficiency improved slightly over the previous oil I used, so I’m a fan!

That’s good news, boothmichael! How do you feel it compares to more expensive brands?

In my experience, I’ve seen no significant difference in wear between Kirkland and other premium oils. The value is definitely there for the price point.

Agreed! I’ve been using it in my Subaru, and it runs just as well as the high-end oils. It’s impressive.

I read a few reviews mentioning extended engine life with this oil. Has anyone gone very high mileage using it?

I hit 100,000 miles with Kirkland oil in my Ford Explorer. I can’t say it prolonged engine life, but I had no issues, which is reassuring!

Good to know, cserrano! I’ve just hit 50,000 miles with it in my Civic and feel confident it’s helping maintain my engine. Thought about switching to synthetic?

I’ve switched to synthetic, and while I like it, I didn’t have major problems with Kirkland as a conventional oil.

This thread is super helpful! I was skeptical at first, but I’m encouraged by the feedback. I might just give it a try on my next oil change.

Do it! You won’t regret it. Plus, the price is hard to beat.

Honestly, I used it in my Jeep, and the first change had me hesitating. But now, after a few changes, I’m a believer! Great value.

It’s funny how we doubt budget brands at first. Sometimes they surprise us! How’s your fuel efficiency with the Jeep?

My fuel efficiency is about the same, but I feel the engine is running better overall. I think that’s the biggest win for me!

Has anyone run Kirkland oil in a diesel engine? I’m curious if it holds up the same as with gas engines.

I’ve only used it in gas engines, but from my research, it’s generally applicable in diesel as well. Would love to get feedback from someone who’s tried!

I’ve used Kirkland Signature Motor Oil for my older vehicle for over a year now. At around $24 for a 5-quart jug, it’s significantly cheaper than many top brands. It performs well, too, making it a great value!
